Tips to prevent a tick bite
The best way to prevent a tick bite is to wear our impregnated clothing. If you do not enter a “tick danger zone” every day, there are a few more tips to minimize the chance of a tick bite. By wearing closed shoes, long sleeves and long pants, you prevent ticks from having direct access to your skin. Preferably wear light clothing, as ticks are easier to see in this. You can apply a product containing DEET to uncovered skin. Also, if you stay on the hiking trails and do not walk through tall grass or bushes, you reduce the chance of being bitten by a tick.
