A tick bite is of course annoying and that is why it is important to take preventive action if you go to a tick-sensitive area. What we also advise is to tuck your trouser legs into your socks and also wear one of our headgear. It is not the case that ticks simply fall from trees, but they could end up on your head when you have to bend down for a branch that hangs low, for example, or when you want to grab something from the bushes.
Other tips
In addition to wearing our anti-tick clothing, you can protect yourself against ticks by applying anti-mosquito products with DEET to your skin. It is also wise to regularly check yourself for tick bites, because although wearing anti-tick clothing significantly reduces the chance of a tick bite, it is always possible that you will still be bitten. When checking, it is useful to know that a tick prefers to nest in the warm, moist places of a body (armpits, groin, hollows of the knees, etc.).
